Getting here by bicycle
Some of our guests arrive by bicycle for Winchester and its countryside is a great centre for enjoying the open air. The city is the western end of the South Downs Way, one of the few long distance routes planned for walkers, horse riders and cyclists. Winchester is some 99 miles from the other end, Eastbourne and the B&B is an excellent place to chill out and rest weary muscles.
One couple of Canadian cyclists who stayed were on their way from Montreal . . . to Montreal, taking two years to get home! John can usually provide safe storage of bikes in his garage.If you dont fancy cycling here you could 'cheat' and bring your bike on the train.
