Getting here Car Many of our guests come by car. We offer free parking so you don't need to pay fees, risk fines or use the city park and ride service. The less you use your car the more you will enjoy being in Winchester. Train If you arrive in London (at St Pancras) on the Eurostar Winchester is just one hour's travel down by train from Waterloo mainline station - allow half an hour between termini. We are just over ten minutes walk from the Railway Station where taxis will be waiting, and there are frequent bus services down to the Broadway and the bus station, both a few minutes walk from Wolvesey View. Plane and coach If you fly to Gatwick, or Heathrow (or Luton or Stanstead airports) National Express or our railways can transport you here. (From Heathrow there is a special coach service to Woking railway station which can also be helpful.) Southampton Airport is very nearby and frequent trains come to Winchester. Winchester taxi companies can also collect and return you to airports.
Coach National Express services stop by King Alfred's statue, and in a few minutes you will be settling into the B&B.
Bike or foot Some of our guests arrive by bicycle, or on foot, for Winchester and its countryside is a great centre for exploring, and enjoying the open air.
